There is still something surreal about seeing Raul Jimenez in Wolves colours once more. He is the epitome of the recent great days at this club. Alongside Ruben Neves, Diogo Jota and Joao Moutinho, he is a reminder of those incredible times under Nuno Espirito Santo when Wolves could attract the type of players never before seen in a home shirt at Molineux.
That stardust that Jimenez brought to the attack created so many incredible memories. And there is still a healthy sprinkling of that when meeting the player for a chat about everything that has happened since. In a wide-ranging interview I conducted for Sky Sports ahead of the Blackburn Rovers fixture last week, Jimenez talked expansively about the central themes that have brought him and his family to this point, so The Wanderers Post thought it worth sharing with Wolves supporters. And, first up, it was clearly the emotional tug of the fans who played the key role in the decision to return.
