A message from editor Johnny Phillips

One hundred and fifty years of Wolves. What a journey this has been. No other club in England has experienced such a broad spectrum of highs and lows. Crowned champions, lifting cups, circling the basement and twice going into receivership. And a whole lot more in between.

As we enter the 150th year it feels fitting to be launching The Wanderers Post to chronicle a critical time in the club’s history.

It is going to be exciting having another set of eyes on the club while also shining a light on the stories that continue to make Wolves so special and unique. The Wanderers Post wants all voices to be heard and that is why this platform is so engaging.

Its potential for growth is obvious as we move into a new age of football coverage. Key to that is having a homegrown reporter on the ground. In Tom Gibson, a Wolverhampton born and bred journalist, this outlet can deliver what supporters are looking for.

It needs supporters on board to help us produce this kind of all-encompassing platform and that is why your subscription allows us to be across all aspects of coverage all year round.

It’s a great challenge but with the support of CounterPress, our dedication to the growth of local journalism alongside decades of experience covering Wolves, we believe The Wanderers Post offers a unique and fresh outlook that brings real value to supporters for less than the price of a burger at the match each month.

Thanks for your support.
