Leon Chiwome has had a whirlwind of experiences over the past two-and-a-half years. Aged 18, he earned his first ever Premier League start in a West Midlands derby against Aston Villa at Villa Park in March, 2024. But since that early high, injuries have caused frustration and angst for a youngster who is so keen to make his name at Wolves.

Currently on loan at Colchester United for the 2026/27 season, Chiwome sat down for a chat with The Wanderers Post ahead of this weekend’s home match against Port Vale, and we spoke about his journey so far in the professional game, how it feels being closer to family again with this latest move, and the differences between under-21s football and senior football.
