Wolves return to the Championship tomorrow for the first time in eight years when Blackburn Rovers visit Molineux. Despite supporters’ frustrations at the lack of incomings, there is a refreshing feeling around Molineux that the club’s 150th anniversary season could be one to remember.

Wolves are unbeaten in eight league games against tomorrow’s opponents, but this is a different Blackburn to any of the sides they have faced in recent years, and Cesar Peixoto has reaffirmed that he and his team are prepared for the unfamiliar challenge ahead.

“I am ready, all the players have worked hard in pre-season and understand what I want," the head coach said. "I am ready and confident for the first game. [Blackburn] are a good team, with the ball they have good dynamics but I think it’s about us more than the opposite team. We have to put our quality and organisation in our home to fight for three points.
