Dan McNamara’s 250th game as Wolves Women manager ends in a draw against winless Watford

Georgia Marshall’s first goal of the season got the scoring underway but Wolves needed a second half penalty to take a point from the Hertfordshire visitors.

Georgia Marshall’s header opened the scoring for Wolves before the visitors managed to flip the game on its head with efforts from Poppy Wilson and Phoebie Poole. Substitute Charlotte Greengrass came to Wolves’ rescue with her precise penalty in the 75th minute to salvage a point.

“I'm disappointed with the performance, but overall, I think we've got away with one,” Dan McNamara said. “I think one team will get on a coach and will think they should have won a game, and they probably should have. I can't quite put my finger on what it was, we look tired in certain moments.
