Wolves given Rodrigo Gomes boost while Cesar Peixoto reveals matches – not training – are the source of first team injury issues

Wolves will have their tricky winger available for Saturday’s home fixture against Cardiff City but elsewhere injuries continue to hamper the head coach’s plans.

Cesar Peixoto is pleased that Rodrigo Gomes is available for selection once more, and has confirmed he will be named in Saturday’s matchday squad.

“Rodrigo is better to stay with us,” Peixoto confirmed. “He is important for us. We don’t have a lot of players with these characteristics to attack the space more vertically, to push the defensive line or give him the ball and speed up the game and change the rhythm of the game. Before his injury he played all the games and we need these different characteristics for our idea of the game to change the game from the starting eleven or from the bench.
