For Beth Roberts, the last year has been nothing short of a whirlwind. After almost reaching breaking point through burnout, promotion has offered the left-back a fresh start as a professional footballer, an achievement which has been years in the making.
It is perhaps quite fitting that Roberts was officially announced as a Wolves player on 14 February. Since her move from her childhood club Stoke City in 2023, she has become a much-loved figure among the Wolves Women fanbase. On the pitch, she offers a unique spark when progressing forward.
As a left-back, Roberts is far from a defensive player. Roberts enjoys getting forward, often on the overlap, but can also come in as an inverted full-back. Her game is comfortably balanced between the two responsibilities that her position requires, both offensively and defensively.
