Wolves go in search of three successive league wins for the first time under Cesar Peixoto

The trip to the West Country is the first away game since Wolves won at Burnley nearly three weeks ago. It is the first of two difficult trips on the road ahead of the November international break.

A first league return to Ashton Gate since one of the many great moments of Wolves’ Championship title-winning season nine years ago. Ryan Bennett’s added time winner against Bristol City gave Nuno Espirito Santo’s side a precious Christmas-time win. It was all the more special after centre-back Danny Batth had been sent off just 14 minutes into the game.

A repeat of the drama and the scoreline would be welcomed by the visiting supporters, as Cesar Peixoto’s side go in search of a third successive league win. The injury to Jordan James is untimely, after the Welsh international forced his way into the starting line-up but, with Rodrigo Gomes returning to fitness and Rafiki Said showing some solid form, there are options for the head coach.
