The tricky Spaniard scored the opener against Cardiff City on Saturday to net his sixth goal of the Championship season. And in contrast to recent weeks, the midfielder was impressed with Wolves’ clinical and quick-fire start.
“It is in our nature to improve that,” Lopez said. “When we score the first goal to go more and more. At 2-0 we tried to do that. You cannot always do it but I think we showed that. We fell off a bit in the second half.
“At 3-0 we were a bit complacent but I think it was important to push after we scored. Especially against those types of teams at home, we need to show the first 10 minutes we want to win, not only win but dominate. I think we showed that in the first half.
