COMMENT: The search for balance - on and off the pitch.

The early months of the season have come with a tension and frustration that is likely to linger well into the New Year.

Cesar Peixoto picked the right starting XI on Saturday and the players rewarded him with a convincing start to a game that turned into a pleasantly comfortable victory. So much has been debated about the set-up and personnel in the side that it is easy to forget that the calendar has only just flipped over into November.

A concurrent theme to the search for a balanced team playing to its strengths is the reaction in the stands. Balance is increasingly hard to come by amongst all supporters, not just the frustrated ones following this particular team.

We live in a world where reaction is farmed for clicks and hits. It makes it difficult to genuinely assess supporters’ thoughts when very often the ones who shout loudest dominate the narrative.
