“Amazing Performance”: Cesar Peixoto hails Fer Lopez’s contribution but says it was only possible with team work.

The Wolves head coach was happy with many aspects of Wolves’ display but says there is plenty still to work on after an encouraging win on the road in Lancashire.

Head coach Cesar Peixoto has praised his Wolves team for their organisation, maturity and control after Wolves’ convincing victory against Preston North End on Saturday.

Although spirits were high after Wolves displayed a solid performance in front of 5,600 travelling supporters, Peixoto is not getting too carried away with the celebrations - but he is pleased with the progress.

“I’m happy with the performance,” he said. “The first half was more difficult but we scored one goal and in the second half we managed the pressure well of the opponent, and played how I wanted with the ball. We tracked the team, explored the space and changed the rhythm of the game. We scored two more goals in the second half, but I think we can score more.
