Wolves Women have always had to work against the odds, whether that be through other clubs having greater financial investments or even figures within the club simply not prioritising Wolves’ success. The resilience has always shone through the doubt, and the head coach is excited to prove more people wrong.

“I’ve spent my whole life probably proving people wrong, it’s what makes me tick.” Dan McNamara said, ahead of Sunday’s WSL2 debut. ”I think it offers you a challenge that no one else can. Over the last few years we’ve consistently proved people wrong with regards to being able to compete with what we’ve had. Now we step into WSL2 with probably one of the lowest budgets. But I love that, that’s great and we’ll compete and we’ll go and utilise some of that to maximize the output we can get.
