Dan McNamara on his Wolves Women side’s pre-season preparations ahead of historic WSL2 campaign

Dan McNamara was proud of his side's performance despite Wolves suffering a narrow 1-0 loss against Nottingham Forest on Wednesday evening.
There was a familiar edge to proceedings when Wolves returned to the SEAH Stadium in Telford, renewing their rivalry with Women’s Super League 2 (WSL2) competitors Nottingham Forest. This has been a fixture which has produced plenty of fierce battles over recent seasons and this game was no different.
While both squads have changed overtime, the encounter provided Wolves with an important test ahead of their first-ever WSL2 campaign. McNamara was pleased with the way his side competed against their established opponents.
