Strengthening the squad’s defensive options has become an urgent issue for head coach Cesar Peixoto. With Kieran Trippier and Yerson Mosquera both set for spells on the sidelines following injuries sustained in last Friday’s 2-2 draw against Blackburn Rovers, there is an alarming lack of solid options for Wolves to call upon.
Jackson Tchatchoua replaced Trippier midway through the second half. Everybody is well aware of his limitations but the fact that Peixoto did not put him in the ‘bomb squad’ at the start of the campaign suggests he is somebody that the head coach feels can contribute to the season.
