A heavily rotated Wolves side booked their place in the next round of the Carabao Cup with a convincing 2-0 victory over League One side Sheffield Wednesday on Tuesday evening.
Cesar Peixoto highlighted the performance of academy graduate Saheed Olagunju, who got Wolves’ second goal on his senior debut, and earned the headlines on a pleasing night for the head coach.
“He was important,” Peixoto explained. “We know Saheed because he trains with us sometimes, and tonight we gave him his opportunity. I think he did a great job and had a very good game. He also scored a goal, which isn’t his main job because he’s a centre-back, but it’s important for his confidence.
