Cesar Peixoto has been impressed with the response from Jackson Tchatchoua after the defender’s bizarre own goal ultimately cost Wolves against Birmingham City on Sunday, and has confirmed the player will start against Sheffield United on Sunday.
“I am the kind of coach who never gives up on my players,” Peixoto said. “Whether it is Jackson or another player, for me it is the same. If it is my player and my man and they want to do their best. The things are not OK in this [Birmingham] game, is true. But in the last games, the players were at a good level.
“I am upset if the players don’t run, if they don’t do the effort the team needs. These kind of mistakes I don’t want, but sometimes they can happen. Adam [Armstrong] also misses a goal in the last moment. They don’t want to miss the goal. I don’t change my view on Adam and I don’t want to change my view of Jackson because of a mistake.
