Sam Gallagher’s stunning strike gave the Potters a shock lead in the opening minutes, before Wolves responded emphatically through Rodrigo Gomes, who netted twice within three minutes to turn the game on its head. Raul Jimenez’s composed penalty in the second half gave Wolves a cushion before Jordan James got his first Wolves goal on his Molineux debut.

The Portuguese head coach expressed his delight after Wolves’ dominant display, but wants to see more consistency at the level which his team displayed.

“It’s very important and like we did in the first game after we conceded, the reaction was very important for us to show personality and character to fight for three points and after that we score four goals, we could have scored more.
