Winger and striker top of Cesar Peixoto’s targets and Jose Sa’s Wolves future still in doubt: The club are braced for more changes before the transfer window closes on Tuesday

The arrivals of Joao Virginia and John Ruddy had appeared to bring some clarity to Wolves’ goalkeeper situation, with Sam Johnstone seemingly the most likely goalkeeper to depart Molineux.
However, Jose Sa’s future remains uncertain, with the head coach confirming the possibility of the Portuguese goalkeeper leaving the Black Country after five full seasons at the club. When asked if he would remain beyond Tuesday’s deadline, this was Peixoto’s response:
“It’s not 100 per cent. We are prepared if he doesn’t stay, we have solutions to do [more] in the market.”
Despite Johnstone’s exit also now looking likely, Peixoto has kept the keeper as part of the first team squad which indicates he could still play a role here if plans do not materialise ahead of the deadline. The head coach has stressed that he wants to treat his players with honesty and respect, regardless of their future at the club.
